*Urgent Referrals- Our doctors aim to allocate appointments within an appropriate time-frame.  If you call the rooms, then fax or email a copy of an urgent referral, marking it as such, it will be shown to the appropriate doctor to review and the patient will be contacted as soon as possible and notified of the appointment time.

PLEASE NOTE: The practice is unable to accept ‘generic ‘ or ‘Dear doctor’ referrals. 

If a patient has been allocated an appointment within a time frame that you feel is inappropriate please contact the rooms to discuss.

*Private On-call service: Dr Daniel Bills, Dr Sally Butchers and Dr Robert Simon provide a private on-call service Monday to Friday between 8am and 6.00pm.

If you have a privately insured patient with an urgent surgical problem and they would prefer admission to St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Lismore, rather than via the Emergency Department at Lismore Base Hospital you may call the the rooms on 66218277  between 9am and 5pm or 66214774 from 8am- 9am and 5pm-6.00pm and ask the staff which doctor is available to take an urgent private admission. Patients will still need to be provided with a written referral and this service is only for use in the case of genuine urgent surgical problems which require admission to hospital. The second number is for doctors’ use only and should not be provided to patients. Outside the hours of 8am-6.00pm Monday to Friday please send the patient to the Lismore Base Hospital where they are still able to request a particular surgeon and be transferred to St Vincents if appropriate.

The patient may be admitted to St Vincent’s Private Hospital Lismore either under your own care or under the care of the surgeon and this can be decided once you have spoken with the surgeon.
