Dr Stephen Strahan
Dr Stephen Strahan is a urologist with a Visiting Medical Officer Appointment at the Lismore Base Hospital and accredition with St Vincent’s Private Hospital Lismore and Ballina Day Surgery, so is available to offer care to both private and public patients.
Stephen was raised in regional Queensland and completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland. He then headed south to NSW for his Australian Urology training. After spending time in Newcastle, Canberra and many leading Sydney Hospitals, he was awarded his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2017. Stephen completed a subspecialty fellowship in Reconstruction & Functional Urology in Canada before returning to Australia.
Stephen has made his home in the Northern Rivers with his wife and four children. Stephen contributes towards the great urological care that is provided locally. He aims to be accessible to both patients and care providers whilst delivering open, honest and high quality care.
Interests and specialty services provided include:
• Voiding dysfunction (BPH, incontinence, strictures) including urodynamic studies
• Cancer (Kidney, bladder, prostate, testis)
• Stones (Kidney, bladder)
• In rooms cystoscopies
Stephen is also happy to see all general urological problems on patients over the age of twelve years and will perform circumcisions on patients over the age of fourteen years.
